Hurricane Harvey Takes Over Houston
Round 1 commences in the occasion of Floyd Mayweather's big pay day against Connan McGregor. Many Houstonians gathered together for the Pay Per View event on Saturday August 26, 2017. Round by round as things were getting worse for McGregor as were the weather conditions in the Greater Houston Area. The smell of rain quickly turned into an overwhelming precipitation that left streets and highways submerged in water. A mixture of heavy rainfall and scattered showers left the loyal citizens of Houston confused at what exactly was coming and if the conditions would get better before they got worse. Some more fortunate than others have not experienced any setbacks while others carried the load of their family members and neighbors. Some houstonians drove their trucks and boats around to help aid those in dire need.
Red Cross is offering disaster relief to those in need as well as accepting any help and donations for anyone willing to volunteer their time and/or money.

As the days go by more people are affected and losing everything that they own. Scrambling around to get things that are dear to them while also trying to remain safe has been a hassle. With the help of the many news station in the city people are flowing their way to safety and up to date there has been five reported deaths(May God bless their souls). With many similarities to Hurricane Katrina(2005) in New Orleans, Louisiana, Hurricane Harvey is causing devastating damage. Hurricane Harvey while approaching land was only classified as a tropical storm but as the speeds of the storm increased quickly it was re-categorized as a category 4 hurricane. The last major hurricane to come through Houston was Hurricane Ike in 2008 and was classified as a category 4 hurricane as well.
Times like this people are very helpless and the fact that there are millions of people that are helpless is a terrible thing.
